Bible and Prayer

The First Baptist Church Intercessory Prayer Room provides one of our church's most vital support ministries. The Prayer Ministry serves as a prayer support system for our church family, our staff, and for people throughout our city, state, nation, and world.

The Prayer Room is staffed every day by volunteer Prayer Warriors.

If you are interested in learning how you can become a part of this ongoing ministry, please contact the church office at (816) 525-0700. Prayer request forms are available in each pew; you may place the form in the offering plate or turn it in to the church office, or call (816) 246-7400.

What's Happening?

Additional Childcare Volunteer Opportunities

  • April 23 & 24 - Sixth Grade Retreat - Registration and informatinal forms are at the Children's Ministry information window as well as in the 5th/6th grade class rooms. The cost is $25, and registration and payment are due April 14th.

New Adult Bible Fellowship Classes Beginning April 11 at 10:45 AM

  • Conquering Debt God's Way, led by Doug Driskell in Room ADM-137 - this class will help you to apply the financial principles that God reveals in His Word.
  • Crazy Love, led by John & Joni Notestein in Room ADM-133 - based on the best-selling book by the same title, this exciting study looks at the following question: Is God calling you to a passionate love relationship with Himself?
