Listen to the Word
"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of
death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me."
(Psalm 23:4)

You may be in the middle of a dark valley right now.
If you are not, you can be sure one is waiting for you down the road
somewhere. Psalm 23:4 offers two bits of great news for us when we are in
the valley. First, the darkness is temporary. It says we walk
"through" the valley. We can look forward to coming out on the other
side. Second, we do not walk alone! Even in the gloomy times, God
is with us. Like a small child has the courage to enter a dark room when
Mom or Dad goes with her, we can draw strength from the knowledge that our
Creator accompanies us through the dark valleys of our lives. Fear is
pointless, because God is with you!

Live the Word
Every time you feel fear or dread creeping into your mind
today, shoo it away by reminding yourself that you are not alone. Your
Father, whose strength has no limits, is with you.
