Listen to the Word May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.
(Psalm 19:14)

|
Your words have tremendous power. They can be used to build
someone up or to bulldoze them. With a single sentence, you can
make someone's day. With another kind of sentence, you can cause
a sleepless night. You can use words to call attention to how
good God is, or you can use words to try to impress people with how
good you are. According to Psalm 19:14, your words are so
powerful that they can even bring pleasure to God. Every phrase
you utter reaches His ears, and what you say today can put a smile on
God's face.

Live the Word
Before
you move on to today's next task, use words to encourage someone.
Walk across the room, make a phone call, or write a note or an
email. Pray that those words will be pleasing in God's sight, and
that they will lift up the one who receives them.
