Listen to the Word O
God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my
body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water...
My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods.
(Psalm 63:1, 5)

Do
you sense that something is just not right? You feel like you
need more. Maybe you're not even sure what you need more of, but
you know you need more. There is an empty spot inside you.
If you stay busy, you can ignore it for a while. But in your
quiet moments, you know it is there. Sometimes it keeps you up
all night. Sometimes it keeps you down all day.
The
Psalmist says you live in a dry and weary land where there is no
water. There are many things around you that promise to satisfy,
but they all turn out to be mirages. They leave you empty and
thirsty.
Nothing in this world can give you what you are craving. Only God can truly satisfy.
