Listen
to the Word And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the
name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
(Colossians 3:17)

You might think that doing everything in Jesus' name would mean filling
your schedule with extraordinary things - perhaps rising at 4AM to pray
for 3 hours, then taping evangelistic radio broadcasts in 15 different
languages, then doing door to door evangelism in your neighborhood, and
so on. But often the biggest part of living for God is not doing
extraordinary things, but doing ordinary things in a new way - doing
them with Jesus, in Jesus' name. What would it be like to wake up
in Jesus' name? Ponder that for a moment. How about driving
in Jesus' name? That may be a big stretch for some folks!
What about interacting with those close to you, and doing the work that
is before you? What would it look like if you intentionally did
those things in the name of Jesus? Do it all for Him!

The next time you get in the car, envision
Jesus in the passenger seat beside you. How does that affect the
way you drive?
