Listen
to the Word "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was
crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was
upon him, and by his wounds we are healed."
(Isaiah 53:5)

Notice the pronouns in Isaiah 53:5. The
transgressions were OURS, but HE was pierced for them. WE were the
ones with iniquities, yet HE is the one who was crushed.
Punishment was upon HIM so that peace could be upon US. By HIS
wounds WE are healed.
Jesus took our place. He died so we
could live. His body was broken so we could be made whole.
His stripes bought our salvation. He was wounded so we could be
healed.
