Listen
to the Word "After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light of life
and be satisfied."
(Isaiah 53:11a)
|
|
Isaiah hints at the most amazing thing about the death of Jesus: it
isn't the end of the story! Death is supposed to be the period at
the end of the final sentence in the final chapter. Death is
supposed to be the last out in the bottom of the ninth. But God
had other plans for Jesus! Jesus suffered and died, but the story
kept going. Jesus breathed His last, but the game went into extra
innings. Death couldn't handle Him, and the grave couldn't hold
Him! Jesus rose from the dead and is alive forevermore.

Live the
Word
Ask God to help you experience the good news
of the resurrection more powerfully than ever this Sunday, and ask Him
to help you share that good news with others.
