Listen
to the Word Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he
may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him, because
he cares for you.(1 Peter 5:6-7)

One key to releasing anxiety is to trust God's timing. Peter
promises that God will lift you up "in due time." God does not
always come through as quickly as we would like. We would prefer
to have instant relief from all of our troubles, and sometimes he lets
those troubles linger so that He can use them to grow us and shape
us. We sometimes wish He would hurry, but his timing is always
perfect. If you know that God's hand is mighty, and you know that
He cares for you, and you know that He is always right on time, then you
have no reason to be overcome with anxiety.
