Listen
to the Word "For by him all things were
created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether
thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by
him and for him."
(Colossians 1:16)

Colossians 1 informs us that the incomparable Christ
is the architect and builder of the entire cosmos. It says He
created "all things." Presumably that includes three-toed sloths
and walruses. "All things" includes the constellation Orion and
chocolate pie. It includes the people you love. It includes
love itself - He created that, too.
Not only was
everything created by Him, but everything was created "for Him." He
is the reason that what is, is. Everything in the universe finds
its purpose in Jesus. The world was made by His power and for His
pleasure. All things were created by Him and for Him.
