(Colossians
1:17)

Kids at school love to be the line leader. It is a big privilege
to be first. As Paul goes on bragging on the incomparable Christ
in Colossians 1, he tells us that Jesus is the ultimate line
leader. He is first of all. Jesus is before everything else
in time. Though He had a birthday a little over 2000 years ago,
that day was not the beginning of His existence. Jesus has always
been. He is before all things. He was before the
beginning. Jesus is also before everything else in priority.
Above all the other important things in life, Jesus is ultimate.
He comes first. He is before all things.

Live the
Word
There is probably something in your life that is pushing to come before
Jesus today. Ask Christ to help you put it in its proper place:
after Him.
