to the Word
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to
serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mark
10:45)

Jesus not only calls us to
serve - He shows us how. He blazes the trail for us. God's
Son came to serve. When the High and Exalted One arrived on earth,
He did not act high and exalted. He washed the smelly feet of His
friends. He touched lepers. He spent time with
children. He listened to losers and outcasts. He provided
meals for hungry crowds. He prayed for people who despised
Him. Then as the definitive act of service for all time, He gave
His life so you could be free.
If you want to know what a real
servant looks like, look to Jesus. He traveled the path of
servanthood. And He is calling you to follow Him.
