Listen
to the Word
"Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who
being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something
to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a
servant."
(Philippians 2:5-7)

We shy away from serving
because it sounds so menial, so far beneath us. But consider
Jesus. He has all power, all wisdom, and all majesty. The
whole universe exists because of Him and for Him. He is the
unchallenged King of everything. He is in very nature God.
Yet He made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant.
If
you ever think that serving would be too far for you to stoop, think
again. Christ was big enough to hang the rings around Saturn, but
not too big to grab a basin of water and a towel and wash His disciples'
feet. If the matchless Messiah could become a servant, it won't be
too much of a stretch for you.
