Listen
to the Word
"I, even I, am he who blots
out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no
more." (Isaiah 43:25)
|
|
You can have the courage to
confess your sin to God because He is a God of enormous mercy. He
longs to forgive. He longs to erase your errors, to blot them
out. He doesn't want you to admit your mistakes so He can wipe you
out for them; He wants to wipe out your sins.
God expresses His
mercy in a startling way in Isaiah 43:25. He says He remembers
your sins no more. Of course, God knows everything about
you. According to the Bible, He knows when you sit and when you
rise. He knows every word you say and every thought you
think. He knows the plans He has for you. He knows the
number of hairs on your head. But there is one thing He chooses
not to know: He remembers your sins no more. God is graciously
forgetful when it comes to your mistakes. His mercy is deeper and
wider than you can imagine.

Live the
Word
Thank God for completely forgiving the sins you have
confessed to Him. While you are at it, give Him a few more things
he can forget about. Confess your sin, confident in His
incomparable grace. | |
