First Place 4 Health!

Would you like to be healthier in 2010?  Check out First Place 4 Health!  First Place 4 Health is a 12-week Christ-centered weight loss and healthy living program that focuses on the four essentials of well-being:  the mind, emotions, body and spirit.  See how putting God first can lead to successful weight-loss.  Learn how God calls Christians to be physically fit.  Understand the positive effect good nutrition and exercise have on our emotions and spirit.  Meetings will begin on Wednesday, February 10 from 6:15 pm – 7:30 pm in the Annex and will continue each week through Wednesday, April 28.  Contact Lisa Frogge (525-7702) by Sunday, January 24 to register and for cost information.

Our support group for those dealing with depression and anxiety will be starting a new study of the book "In This Corner" on Sunday afternoon, February 7th.  This workbook will offer personal insights and practical exercises to engage in the healing and recovery process.  Support group members will have opportunities to reflect on where they are now, and where they want to be, while sharing in a casual, safe and confidential setting. The book stresses that our primary source of strength to overcome any obstacle is our Lord, Jesus Christ.  Contact Caroline Cooper for details (589-0356).

"Welcome to FBCLS Orientation"

All guests and new members are invited to attend the next “Welcome to FBCLS Orientation” on Sunday, March 21th at 10:45 AM in the Chapel. During this informal time, information will be shared about the church’s history, doctrinal beliefs, purposes, staff, ministries, how to join the church, and mission involvement. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions about the church. Advance reservations are not needed. This orientation is led by our Minister of Education, Allen Baker.
